Who Can Join Your Newborn Photography Session?

By Marianna · Golden Art Photography · Updated 2026-10-13

Parents, siblings and grandparents are included in The Family Story and Deluxe Newborn Experience at Golden Art Photography. Simply Baby is the baby-only collection. Choose the collection that matches the people you want in your photographs before asking relatives to attend.

Tell Marianna who will be there

Share the names or relationships of the family members joining, along with anything that may help them feel comfortable. If relatives are visiting from outside DFW, mention the dates you are trying to coordinate. Attendance and availability should be discussed before treating a date as fixed.

Choose meaningful combinations

Your baby alone, parents holding the baby, siblings together and a portrait with grandparents can tell different parts of the same story. Identify your most important combinations first. This gives planning a clear direction without creating an inflexible list of poses.

Prepare everyone for a baby-led experience

Let relatives know that feeding and soothing may guide the session. A newborn does not need to follow a group's timetable or match an inspiration photograph. Keeping expectations relaxed can make the visit easier for adults and children alike.

Use one broad outfit palette and comfortable clothes across the group. Ask about any accessibility or comfort needs while planning, rather than waiting until everyone arrives at the studio.
